Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Thursday that $30 million in rehabilitation funding has been awarded to a dozen communities across Hudson Valley.
Hochul says the state will prioritize activities such as walking, biking and the use of mass transit.
The state will repair and construct new roads, sidewalks and shared-use paths to ease traffic and reduce greenhouse gasses.
The funding will support initiatives that improve access to the transportation system. It will also advance New York state's nation-leading agenda to fight climate change.
