But is the weather going to Cooper, meteorologist Julian C Wright is here and Julian as we take a look out at the bridge all lit up a clear night, we want to know if that's gonna stick around for the fireworks. Well, hopefully, as of right now, we're looking at smooth sailing up until the fourth of July Tama. So that's some of the good news for those who are looking for the holiday and especially for the celebrations in the South. Let's get into our weather headlines for Monday. We don't have to worry about much of anything else outside of enjoying the weather, low humidity, sun and on top of it, it will be pleasant. Now the pleasantries continue for Tuesday and Wednesday as we still do have pretty low humidity for us. But once we get to our fourth of July, we are looking for things to warm back up and it's also gonna be a bit on the monkey side so be prepared for temperatures to start to warm into those middle eighties. But again, overnight skies will clear and there's gonna be drying out for us across the lower Hudson Valley. We're talking about temperatures into the upper fifties and even the low 60 degree mark overnight into our Monday morning and we're just gonna warm to around 79 degrees eighties for a couple of spots. But overall, it's gonna feel pretty fantastic from West Point to Yorktown Heights and even for White Plains and for Yonkers, Monday again, around 80 degrees for Yonkers, but many of us are gonna hold into the seventies. So definitely take full advantage of it for a very beautiful day. It's gonna be on tap for us across white plains and for the lower Hudson Valley in itself. But walking through the rest of our future cast again, gonna stay very clear and dry, might see some passing clouds for parts of orange and uh parts of Putnam counties, but it's mainly going to be very clear for us and that leads into our Tuesday as well. So not a whole lot is going on for us until we get to the end of the week. So Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, very comfortable and refreshing. But then you can see these due points which would be the humidity spiking back up for a Thursday, Friday and yes, even Saturday. So we're looking for another active weather pattern late into next week. But as of right now, we're monitoring some potential of seeing some shower activity just around the fourth of July. But for Friday and Saturday, we're really gonna keep our eye on some wet weather back in its way, temperatures are gonna stay near seasonal to start. But when we end, we are looking to heat back up, especially for Thursday and heading into our Saturday. But until then, let's enjoy the start.

Are also out and about on the local roadways, assessing power outages and storm damage this morning. Joining us right now live is the town supervisor George Homan, Mr Homan. Thank you so much for being with us. Good morning. Thank you, Lisa. All right. So I can see, obviously, yeah, I can see. Obviously you're in your car, uh pulled over to the side of the road, being able to safely talk to us, talk to us though about what you've seen as you've been out and about this morning and the hardest hit spots in your local community. Sure. So, um, you know, the town itself, uh the, the storm is really, really quick, but, um, we had about 3000 people out of power. Um, at the start of the storm last night, we still have about 100 and 60 that are out of power. We have one of our police cars, actually, we had an officer who was actually inside the car. He was taking a report and an incident on a house near a house over in con uh when a tree fell on his uh on the, on the cruiser basically destroyed the car, thankfully, he was not injured, but the uh the police cars was pretty well destroyed uh from that tree that happened. Um You know, obviously last night, we had about 40 roads that were impacted either fully closed or partially closed. Uh Throughout the storm, we also had a direct lightning strike that hit our Hemlock Park um uh transformer and took, uh took the uh power out at our field over in uh in con. Um So we're assessing that damage and we had a number of trees down in a bunch of our parks, um, as well. You know, thankfully there were no injuries reported, but at one point, we did have up to 40 roads that were uh partially closed. There's a lot of damage we had, he was out throughout the night. Uh So, um, you know, we're still going around this morning assessing, uh we're getting reports of uh branches still down and partially obstructing, you know, certain areas. But by and large, a lot of the stuff is, has been cleared from roadways. Just people need to be careful out there. All right, definitely some welcome news about the, the forward progress movement. But you gotta really feel for that police officer, the lightning strike. You, you're dealing with a lot today. How does this compare to the storm earlier this week? You know, this much worse for us. Um You know, in terms of the impacts within the town, but I do have to say, I literally, we had great coordinations with Orange and Rockland, you know, with our emergency management team and, and we saw, uh, power being restored very quickly last night. Unfortunately, the ones that are still out of power right now, they're more troublesome, uh, locations and, uh, it's being worked on and, um, br is doing a great job, uh, you know, with that, but we had, as I said, um, they did a great job with the, with the coordinating with our police last night.
