The National Teen Kindness Board of the Be a Friend Project hosted its second annual walk-a-thon Saturday at the Valhalla campus of Westchester Community College.
Around 100 people participated in the event, which aimed to raise awareness and funds for the organization's mission.
"The mission is to support student upstanders, K through college, that are working to prevent bullying, save the lives of their peers and build kinder communities," said Jennifer Young, executive director of the Be a Friend Project.
Organizers hope to raise $10,000 from the event.
