Pride Month celebrations begin at Rye Town Park in Rye
25ds agoLong Island's largest Pride celebration took over Huntington Village on Sunday.
Hundreds of people dressed in tie-dye and rainbow colors packed "Long Island Pride."
The party started at the corner of Clinton Avenue and Main Street.
A festival with performances and food at Hecksher Park followed the parade.
This year marked the 34th time that the LGBT Network hosted the event.
"We're showing we are a strong community, a resilient community, and a united community. Long Island Pride brings everyone together. All across Nassau, all across Suffolk. It's the only event that does that," said David Kilmick, president of the LGBT Network.
News 12's Erin Colton was one of the announcers at this year's parade.
