A harmon has the details for us. Absolutely. We're looking murky is a great word for it. In terms of the overnight, you could have some visibility issues when you see some of those thunderstorms moving through. And we're going to continue to have that thunderstorm risk as we head into the second half of our weekend. So in terms of our Sunday, we not only have that con back the risk of a level two and the tornado concerns, but we also have a flash flood risk. So we could see I isolated flash flooding and that could be due to some localized downpours. And again, the best way to figure out kind of where that could be is where see that ponding or puddling whenever it rains. In terms of timing this out, we could notice some storms for the rest of the overnight and throughout our morning, unfortunately, this could continue throughout the day. Really, we have several rounds of storms that we could be seeing throughout and we're going to be keeping an eye on all of it. There will be plenty of times when things are dry and maybe not too bad just on the muggy, hot, humid side. But then as we get into the later part of our Sunday is where we have that severe weather concerns. You can see a strong line of storm moving through as we get into the later parts of the evening that has the potential to just kind of bloom into some very nasty weather. So that could be where we, we're seeing some of that more severe weather, but we have in general that risk for the whole day. So in terms of these impacts that we could see through the rest of our weekend, we could see heavy rain. I think there's a moderate risk of that, especially in isolated areas. And then as we head into that, we could also see some gusty winds likely where we also have those areas of the heavy rain that low but not non zero risk of tornadoes and all this could combine to impact some power. So want to keep that in mind as you're heading into the rest of the weekend, but those temperatures going to be getting up into the higher 80 some places seeing the low nineties. So a lot of the available fuel for thunderstorms to kind of draw on with that kind of heat and that kind of humidity. But then as we get into the work week, things are dry, things are more pleasant. So we just kind of have to get through a stormy Sunday in general. And then we have several days of very nice weather.

Turning to the weather, it's probably not a good day to run or at least, uh, when the rain is coming through, we've got Skyler D Harmon here, Skyler, we've got rain moving into our area. We have rain. We have that severe weather risk uh throughout our late Sunday. So that's kind of what we're dealing with for the rest of the weekend, we have that risk of severe weather. The chances of gusty thunderstorms cloud to ground lightning, the stray chance of a tornado. And then in addition to that, we also have flash flooding possible because as these storms move through, there could be some is isolated pockets where you have some downpours that could lead to some flooding. So just a general rule to keep is that anywhere that tends to accumulate water when it rains even a little bit, that's the places that are going to be more vulnerable as you head into that flash flood risk. Now, timing this out, we could see some storms moving through. There are several rounds of this. We could have around in the morning. We could have some times where things are nice and dry and then we could see more rounds as we head into the later parts of the day, especially the evening. I want to keep an eye on because we have all this humidity. We have these temperatures getting up into the eighties that offers some fuel for some storms. So all that together could combine for that severe weather risk, especially in the second half of our Sunday. But then as this clears out, we have a nice Monday on t things are much better, much drier, clearer, gonna be pleasant. In general, temperatures are a little cooler as well. So we will take what we can get where we can get it, but we do have to through a nasty Sunday. First, in terms of temperatures were very warm for our Sunday at almost 90 degrees and we take almost a 10 degree dip into our Monday. So then we're going to be seeing temperatures mainly in the eighties for the rest of that work week. So in terms of rain, mainly a Sunday event, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are looking nice and dry. So that's the good news. The Fourth of July, we're going to have some clouds and the chance of some rain.

Well, the weekend is here. We're hopeful for some more delightful weather. I mean, today was a nice preview. Right. We're looking at a time lapse right now over the Mario Cuomo. Very colorful. What are we looking at for this weekend? Addison Nikita. We do see some nice weather but also a chance for seeing some storms returning across our area. So hopefully you and everyone else get the chance to enjoy this fantastic Friday, Saturday, more humidity building up through the day. A chance for some late day rain slash storms. A high around 82 Sunday, warmer muggier afternoon, thunder storm changes do pop up with a cold front on the way as you look back for this day today, just to show you how wonderful it was. We had temperatures starting off in the mid ff not too far away from a record low high temperatures in the upper seventies that was below average. So we had a pristine day from start to finish. High pressure has been moving offshore, taking the dry air along the way with us. So we are watching hot and humid air off along an area of low pressure coming in from the west. So as we go through your future cast, walking out there towards the morning hours on Saturday, temperatures will be in the sixties and seventies feeling that way as well. Mostly cloudy skies through the day. For the most part, it's feeling close to the actual air temperature. So not too humid, just a little on the sticky side. But we do notice a few pop up showers are possible, especially towards the Catskill. So Sullivan County County, northwestern portions of Orange County, after about 7 to 9 o'clock, we're watching that line pushing from the west. So between 10 o'clock in the evening to two o'clock overnight, it's when we'll get a threat for some passing showers and thunderstorms as we move forward into Sunday morning, we start off the day with some clearing of the skies. That's why a lot of the sun to shine down warm things up. So temperatures close towards the afternoon time frame of two o'clock in the eighties and nineties feeling though much warmer than that portions of Westchester County may be in the mid nineties feeling around 100. So we're heating up. We're watching the thunderstorm potential come our way towards the 3 to 6 o'clock hour. Those storms come through behind it, cooler air up ahead of it. It will be very warm and muggy and then those storms move out of here by Sunday night. And just to show you that we have cooler, dry air coming down, see those blue numbers right there. It's gonna be like how it was for this Friday. So we do have a pair of really nice days coming away for early on next week. Tuesday though is the pick of the week though. It's gonna be beautiful though for both Monday and Tuesday as we move forward from Wednesday to Thursday. Here comes the fourth of July getaway. Humidity is building thunderstorm. Chances are popping up with a high of around 89. All right.

Be like for anyone who has plans because we're on storm watch right now as we see some weather heading towards this overnight. Unfortunately, the best thing that we've talked about all night has been those Friday Oreos because, uh, it's just gonna be another mess for us on Sundays getting into it. This is what we have going on for us across Long Island. Now, the thing is, is that it's gonna be very periodic throughout the course of the day, but we have a level two slight risk from the storm prediction center for the entire island for seeing strong or even severe storms. So it's pretty likely that we will see them going into our early afternoon and for around the dinner time hours between four and maybe even eight o'clock. But in itself, we're looking for threats to be mainly some high winds up to about 50 MPH. Some hail that's close to about an inch diameter. Tornado is possible, but definitely on the lower scale for us, heavy rainfall though will be a bit of an issue and overnight we're still gonna be dealing with some lingering showers for us. Still breezy across Long Island. So don't think the winds are gonna go much of anywhere. However, we are looking for guidance to give in rain and storms to start off a little bit earlier. Just before noon tomorrow, we could start to see some firing off of heavy downpours along the south shore areas near Bay Shore. Fire Island could start to see some heavier rainfall and storms and then close to seven o'clock between six and seven from the North shore from Huntington to Glen Cove, Smithtown and Rocky Point, heavy rainfall. And this will be our last line of storms moving its way through before things start to clear up. Heading into our Monday night. Now, we're looking for between about an inch, maybe an inch and a half of rainfall in total across the island for many of us once over the next about 36 hours from the three separate rounds of rainfall. So just be prepared again, it's going to be windy and on top of it's the heavy rainfall. So if you have any loose items outdoors, just make sure you bring them in, especially when you have the time to do it. A few of those rounds of storms again are gonna carry into from not only the overnights before our Sunday, early morning and early afternoon, around dinner time. Once we're done with Sunday, Monday is going to be much better smooth sailing until we get to the Fourth of July. All right, Julian thank you for the.

Well, we've got these high rip current risks and we've got wet weather coming into our area this weekend, not the best weekend for a beach day. Right. Skyler. No, it's not looking like the rest of our weekend is going to be that beach conducive. But in terms of what we are looking at with this storm watch, let's time it out. So it's looking like it's gonna be, uh, pretty much now through the rest of the overnight and into our Sunday evening is when we're going to be tracking the possibility of some severe weather in terms of what hazards we could be seeing. We could be seeing some thunderstorms that could have some localized downpours that could lead to some isolated flash flooding. We could also see that there's a low chance of tornadoes but not a non zero chance of tornadoes. And we could see that cloud to ground lightning, just plenty of damaging wind gusts. In terms of that severe risk. It's going to be scattered, severe weather if that severe weather does come to fruition, not everyone is necessarily going to see it, but everyone should be aware of the weather. And as we head into our Sunday. This is what we're going to be looking at. We're waking up to some clouds and then as we head into the day, we could have some pockets where we have some of that more intense rain, we could be seeing light to moderate, but we could also have some pockets of that more moderate to heavy rain in terms of the day though, it's not a complete wash out. We're going to have plenty of moments when things are dry. But we could definitely notice as we get more into the afternoon that we could see more of those areas of that more intense rainfall that could come along with the potential for that severe weather. So want to be aware of that, that it continues throughout parts of the afternoon and as we head into the evening and overnight into our Monday, things are better. So that's the good news. It's mostly contained by Sunday evening. So there's something to look forward to is a beautiful Monday is expected with nice sunshine. Temperatures are a bit more pleasant as well. In terms of what we're expecting with that flash flood risk for tomorrow, it's looking like a low. So that means there could be isolated, flash flooding possible throughout the Bronx. But a good way to be aware of where could flood is a keep in mind where water accumulates where you see that ponding. But in terms of the 10 day forecast we're going to be around 90 degrees for our Sunday and then we're around 80 degrees for Monday. So almost a 10 degree drop. And then things are very pleasant temperature wise as we head into the beginning and middle parts of the week in the low eighties, Wednesday for Fourth of July looking like we could see the high eighties. So that's pleasant, could have some sun, could have some clouds, could have some rain. So we're going to keep an eye on all of that and keep you updated.

Into our hyper local forecast. So in terms of what we're looking at timing wise, we're concerned about the overnight. But our main concern is going to be the second half of our Sunday in terms of what we can expect, hazard wise, we could expect isolated downpours the risk of some damaging gusty winds, also tornadoes not ruled out and we could see some isolated flash flooding as well. In terms of that severe risk, it's going to be scattered a risk, but it is still possible. So looking at this, you can see that we're in this level two, which is that scattered, which means some of us could see severe weather but not necessarily all of us will. So, but it's good for all of us to be prepared. We could see some winds between 4060 MPH, possibly higher during our Sunday. We could see hail and there is the possibility of some tornadoes, take a look at our tornado threat. So we're on the low end, but you don't really want to be on any end of a tornado risk. So with that, there's the possibility of some stray tornadoes that could have some rotation. We're going to keep track of it all in detail. But in terms of flooding, we also have a low isolated flash flood risk. So again, we could just be seeing severe weather for some people, not necessarily all but take a look at what's happening tonight. Some strong storms trying to work their way through, that could definitely be additionally juiced up by some of the humidity by some of the warm temperatures. Temperatures overnight are not getting very cool. We're still in the low seventies and then our next concern is going to be into the second half of our Sunday where we could see a line of storms moving through the could blossom into something more intense. So we're going to keep an eye on everything in terms of humidity. We're going to have a humid Sunday and then things do get better. We're less humid on Monday, still a little muggy and similar for Tuesday. It's going to be better than Sunday, humidity wise, but not totally dry feeling necessarily in terms of rain. Our main rain day is going to be Sunday and then we're nice and dry for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The next chance of rain could maybe the fourth of July, but it's still a little bit out. So we'll keep an eye on that. It could just be a low chance of rain for right now. So we need to get through a hot, humid and potentially severe Sunday. And then things are very nice for the beginning of the work.

Our first guest is a former bachelor contestant who has already become a well known, one of the most well known reality TV stars today. That's right. He was here just a few months ago talking to us about his daddy journey and he is back today with an exciting update. So, welcome back, Colton. Thank you for having me. It's so good to see you. So, congratulations are in order you have some news to share with us. Yeah. My husband and I are expecting our baby boy. Congratulations. I know the last time we, we were chatting, we were talking a little bit about this fertility journey. But for people who weren't part of that conversation, can you just kind of bring them into the loop? Yeah. I mean, uh originally when we first started our fertility journey, it was so overwhelming. We didn't really know where to go, who to look for. For support. I was struggling with my a low sperm count and no sperm. So it, it just took a lot longer than we thought. So, you know, fast forward two years and we're not pregnant and have the incredible relationship with our surrogate and Jordan and I are just very blessed to uh become fathers of, of a little boy. Oh, that's so amazing. Congrats again. You know, and it's refreshing to hear you talk about fertility issues because a lot of times you don't hear guys talk about it. A lot of times you hear people talk about for the women, the mothers, but for you, why was it important for you to be so public and forthcoming with that information? Well, I didn't really want to be at first to be transparent because it, it felt, I felt just a lot of shame around it. And I was like, wait, this is no different than me struggling with anything else in my life. And I've been so public and, and open with my other struggles. You know, why not talk about this? Because nobody else is. And I slowly started talking about it with my friends, not, not publicly. And a lot of my friends confided in me too and we sort of like, yeah, I did. That was my case as well. Like I blamed my wife for many, many years of struggling to get pregnant and then it turned out to be me the entire time. And I was like, oh, women bear the burden fertility so often in our country, many different ways. But men are 50% of the equation and nobody, no, none of the men want to talk about that. And I was sort of just wanting to be open and transparent of what goes into making healthy sperm and also just educating yourself. Right, because there's a lot of, of your lifestyle choices that go into that. Right. Totally. I mean, for me, I, I had to get off, I was on testosterone replacement after football, I had low testosterone. Um, and then I also was doing hot tubs and saunas and steam rooms. Basically anything that increases the body temperature, um sterilizes and, and kills sperm and sperm is made every 70 days, which you think of how many sperm typically men have, they're just cranking it out. But it actually takes, you know, 2 to 3 months to, to make a sperm. So you're quite literally just boiling, you know, all months worth of work. And um I, I never knew that and I wish I would have learned that in class, in grade school. I mean, I would have made many different decisions as I was preparing to, you know, work on, you know, having a child and all the while you're learning about this stuff, you're sharing it with people on your podcast daddy. So what were some of the other enlightening things that you learned while we doing this research? I've learned so much since I first started daddy hood and, and that was the, you know, the reason why it was so important to me to put this podcast out. There was meeting with different fertility experts, different innovative companies, you know, um Our episode that came out yesterday with Nodal um is essentially like a dating app for surrogates, you know, surrogates up, upload themselves and, and people swipe and the surrogates swipe to match with the family. And it's just street learning process for us. It took six months to be on a wait list and go through agencies and pay agency dues. And now all of a sudden, I'm, I'm interviewing, you know, innovators in this space and game changers in this space. Um And I'm just so proud of the fertility community and all of these companies and people sort of pouring their hearts into family building for different people. And now that you have this podcast and, and this platform is the conversation going to change as the, as the time gets closer to, you know, the surrogate, giving birth and then, you know, having a newborn, is that what we can expect? Um Season one of daddy is all about fertility and then season two, which we're going to start at the top of next year is gonna be about daddy and um you know, skin to skin contact, my feeding times and how well or how, you know, how much or how little I'm sleeping, um tips and tricks, you know, diapers, all sorts of different things. Um But definitely gonna get more into the daddy side of things in season two. Ok. And just to be clear, did your lifestyle changes help your swimmer count. Did you end up being the father or did your husband have to do it? No, we both, so we both got our numbers up. I'll say this, Jordan had great sperm count but he did it with me as a supportive husband. You know, he should do and, and did do and I was so grateful for him. Uh, but yeah, I made all of the changes. I reduced my workouts. I um you know, didn't drink it. I, I don't drink alcohol that often anyway, but I cut that back, cut my hot tubs and baths back and uh my, my numbers bounced back. So now how are you preparing to become fathers? Well, we started but we built a crib and we got our nursery. We're getting our nursery ready right now, which is so exciting. You know, little things like that go a long way for, for same sex couples, especially two men because we, we don't carry right and we don't, we don't get to have that experience and that bonding moment of like caring for nine months. So little things like that go a long way for us to make it feel very real and to make us feel a part of the pregnancy. So what is your relationship like with the surrogate? Like did you do the app? Did you swipe or did you find it for a family friend? Like because I know a lot of people always struggle with that if they don't have the app. How do you find the right person? Yeah. We found our sewing agency and we hit the jackpot. Um, and she's incredible. We've had her and her family over for dinner and they're nearby, which is always convenient and nice. Um, and we have a great relationship with her and, and she's so supportive of not only us as a couple but our family already and, um I can't say enough good things about her. Oh, that's lovely. So what advice would you say you have for couples who are going through fertility issues? I just to communicate and talk and, and ask your doctor questions and, and if you don't know where to start, you know, there's great resources uh uh a lot of different, you know, um you know, these companies and, and daddy is now what I would consider a great resource for people looking to start too from, you know, talking to lawyers and agencies and um concierge services, all sorts of different things. It's an overwhelming process. So I would just say communicate, be intentional and do your homework. You know, I know fertility health is important to you, but also mental health. So tell us a little bit more about the Legacy Foundation, which you guys make sure that you help mentor, support athletes, especially student athletes who are coming up to make sure that they have good mental health. Yeah, I'm so, I'm so proud of the work that my foundation has been able to do this year. Um We've introduced a Teams Act which is targeting emotional mental stability. It's a bipartisan bill that was introduced in both the House and the Senate. Um Cory Booker and Senator Boozman from Arkansas are a lead Democrat and Republican on it. Um And we're essentially asking the government to help chip in to provide resources for college athletes and their mental health. You know, so much has changed, changed in, in athletics and name image likeness. You've seen it every day with Caitlin Clark and all of these people signing million dollar deals. And there's a handful of athletes that when they get hurt, they don't know what to do. Now, you know, the pressure is so high. So we wanna, we wanna help and we wanna be there to support. Are you gonna be watching the Olympics? For sure. I, I'm so proud of, of all them. You know, I, I had the chance and honor to become friends with Simone Biles and she's like one of the strongest and, and just most important figures in, in our history. And I think I, I'm definitely gonna be rooting for her as well as the entire USA team. Mm. Now, I gotta ask you because a lot of people wanna know, would you ever do another reality show? Especially maybe a parenting reality show? Um, I would love to do a parenting reality show. I don't know if I could do it around my family. Jordan is a very private guy. Um I will say I am, I am working on next next month. I'm filming something in a different type of role, so I will be back on television soon. Um That for a second. I mean, it's just, it's a, it's a big, it's a big step for my career. I'm just, I'm overwhelmed. I'm excited and there's going to be a, you know, a lot of fun things to come. So does that mean you're coming back on b well, to tell us where you're allowed to because it seems like you're holding back. Well, yes, whenever the lawyers figure out the NBA fair enough. Ok. Well, before you go too, I wanna go back to the athletes because there's a, my kids are athletes, your kids are athletes. What advice would you give to those young athletes out there to make sure that they, you know, just have strong mental health because it is very taxing. When you're winning, you're losing, you're up and you're down, it's a lot to go through. Yeah, I think just understanding that there's strength in asking for help and there's strength in being vulnerable. I think so often athletes are preached to like, wear this body armor and make sure, you know, people know that you're, you're strong and, and they're not getting to you. But it's, it's human like you get it. People are going to get under your skin, you're gonna struggle and you're gonna need help at some point in your career. Um, you know, adversity is, is really common to have to overcome in sport. And I, I think there's a beauty in that, but I also think there's a beauty in supporting your teammates and having the, you know, the coaches trained properly. Um, and just knowing that you're not alone, there's a lot of people out there that are struggling too. Colton. It is always such a pleasure to talk to you. We're so excited for your success.
